‘All About Speaking In Other Tongues’ Dramatic, miraculous and heavenly can best describe the events of the day when the Holy Spirit came down to dwell in believers and in the church of the Lord Jesus Christ. The vital need is to grasp the truth about Him and of the revealed power of that Divine Holy Spirit. The promise and fulfillment leap out from the Scriptures. This book targets the truth for believers today. Is there to be a repeat of Pentecost? The author agrees with Scripture that there can be no cessation. The scriptural foundation for the power of Pentecost is defended. Errors in practice are exposed. Carnal worship under the old covenant is to be replaced by the Spiritual under the new. All believers need that dynamic Holy Ghost baptism, speaking in tongues. Prayer and worship are to be supernatural.
I wish to acknowledge thanks to God for such writers as Phillip Mauro who helped enlighten me on this subject. They have been few. Most of us who were ingrained with Darby’s theories little realized there was no Scripture to back it up. We all should follow Peter’s admonition, “Like obedient children, do not be conformed to the desires that you formally had in ignorance”. As Paul says: “That testimony is true. For this reason rebuke them sharply, so that they may become sound in the faith, not paying attention to Jewish myths or to commandments of those who reject the truth.” (Titus 1:13-14). Their strongest myth was that their Messiah would reign on earth and deliver them from national enemies. Are we in the church following in their footsteps? We are destined for glory not for a reign on this earth.
This book is about where the early church was, where the church today is supposed to be and where this church is in actuality. May we all search the scriptures and obey them. If we in the church of the Lord Jesus Christ, want to truly witness with ‘Truth, Grace and Power’, then we must take hold of these spiritual truths within this book, written under the anointing of the Spirit of God. The promise of the Father is for you – ‘I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh (mankind).’ (Joel 2:28) ‘But you shall receive “power” (dunamis) when the Holy Spirit comes upon you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth.’ (Acts 1:8). Jesus charged the disciples not to leave Jerusalem until they were filled with the (dunamis) power of the Holy Spirit, and only then were they enabled to minister in the way they should. This is obligatory for Ministers, Believers, Churches and Bible Schools around the world.
